Rooted in Memphis, Committed to Recovery

Since opening our doors, RUY Helpline has served as a cornerstone of addiction treatment in Memphis, Tennessee, providing compassionate care to individuals and families throughout the Mid-South region.

How We Began

RUY Helpline was founded with a clear purpose: to offer accessible, high-quality addiction treatment to the Memphis community and the broader Tennessee region. Our founders recognized that too many people struggling with substance use disorders lacked access to evidence-based care close to home. They set out to build a facility that combined clinical excellence with genuine warmth and understanding.

Located at 105 Huling Ave in the heart of Memphis, our treatment center occupies a peaceful campus designed to promote healing. Every detail of our facility was planned with recovery in mind, from the calming interiors to the landscaped outdoor spaces that give our clients room to reflect and grow.

Our Mission

We exist to guide every individual who walks through our doors toward a fulfilling life free from addiction. Through personalized, evidence-based treatment programs, we address not only substance use but the underlying mental health and behavioral challenges that often accompany it.

Evidence-Based Treatment, Personalized for You

At RUY Helpline, we combine proven clinical methods with holistic therapies to create a comprehensive continuum of care that supports lasting recovery.

Treatment Philosophy

We believe that effective addiction treatment must address the whole person. Substance use disorders rarely exist in isolation; they are often intertwined with trauma, anxiety, depression, and other behavioral health conditions. Our integrated approach treats co-occurring disorders simultaneously, giving our clients the strongest possible foundation for long-term sobriety.

From the moment a client arrives at our Memphis campus, our clinical team conducts a thorough assessment to understand their unique history, challenges, and goals. This information shapes a personalized treatment plan that evolves as the client progresses through their program.

Stories of Recovery

Hear from individuals and families whose lives have been changed through treatment at our Memphis facility.

Walking into RUY Helpline was the hardest thing I have ever done, but it turned out to be the best decision of my life. The residential program gave me structure when everything felt chaotic, and the counselors truly understood what I was going through. After 90 days on that beautiful Memphis campus, I left with tools I still use every single day. I am coming up on two years sober and I owe so much of that to this team.

James T.

Residential Treatment Program

I was terrified of detox, but the medical staff at RUY Helpline made me feel safe from the moment I arrived. Dr. Watkins and the nursing team monitored me around the clock, and within a week I was stable enough to start residential treatment. The transition was seamless. By the time I completed the program, I felt like a completely different person. If you are on the fence, please just call them.

Medical Detox & Residential Program

As a single parent, I could not step away from my responsibilities for 30 or 60 days. The intensive outpatient program at RUY Helpline let me attend sessions in the evening while still being there for my kids during the day. The scheduling was flexible, the group therapy was incredibly supportive, and I learned practical coping strategies I now rely on. This program met me where I was, and that made all the difference.

Marcus D.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

For years I tried to manage my anxiety and drinking on my own, and nothing worked. At RUY Helpline, they treated both at the same time through their dual-diagnosis program. The individual counseling helped me understand the connection between my mental health and my addiction. I had never experienced that kind of integrated care before. It was genuinely transformative, and I finally feel in control of my own life again.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment Program

Watching my son struggle with addiction was the most painful experience our family has ever faced. From our first phone call, the admissions team at RUY Helpline guided us with patience and care. The family therapy sessions helped all of us heal, not just him. Today he is thriving, holding a steady job, and rebuilding relationships. We are so thankful to the entire staff at this Memphis facility for giving us our son back.
